RTRFM Youth in Radio Project
The Youth Reporters made up of university and high school students from metropolitan Perth and are tasked with researching, producing and presenting radio stories about young people in their communities.
These reports tell the stories of young people doing amazing things within their community and are then broadcast on RTRFM and posted onto the Youth in Radio Project page.
It can be about the little old lady next door who has two hundred cats but only one dog or the young rugby player who refuses to believe he will never play rugby again.
Working alongside other community organisations such as the YMCA, SEITA, CareerLink and universities, UWA, Curtin and Edith Cowan the RTRFM Youth New Project aims to give all people a voice and highlight the amazing things young people can achieve and are achieving.
We also have a number of young, budding news readers bringing you the news every weekday morning from 7am until 12pm.
The stories are pre-recorded and played throughout the RTRFM program grid. The reporters have brought a uniqueness to the station and allowed us to connect with our young and old listeners.
