Thanks to Gage Roads Brewing Co, over the weekends in The Pleasure Garden, bask in unplugged and intimate sets from local musicians in the majestic surrounds of The Pleasure Craft.

With sets at 7:oopm and 8:30pm, take a moment’s peace in an ocean of Fringe activity, just look for the boat in the Pleasure Garden.

RTRFM AND THE WESTERN AUSTRALIAN MUSEUM’S FREE LIVE MUSIC SERIES HARBOUR SUNDAYS RETURNS TO THE WA MARITIME MUSEUM IN 2018

After a wonderful second season, Harbour Sundays is back for 2018 for your perfect Sunday night local music fix at one of Perth’s most picturesque venues, the WA Maritime Museum.

Join us on the Museum’s balcony at Victoria Quay for five weeks of local music, DJs, drinks and the best spot in Perth to watch the sun go down.

The 2018 season kicks off on Sunday January 28 with country styling’s of Delilah Rose and the Gunslingers, alongside the folk tinged soulfulness of the Kat Wilson Trio, plus DJ Jas Hughes of Tuesday Drivetime.

On Sunday February 4, we are blessed with the talents of singer songwriter Grace Sanders who produces blissful soul music, plus the amazing song-writing and soaring vocals of one of Perth’s finest song writers, Jacob Diamond. Joining them will be one of RTRFM’s longest serving presenters and founders of the Drastic on Plastic program, Lorraine Clifford.

Sunday February 11 sees an eclectic duo of musicians, spanning jazz to Cuban salsa. Join Human Contact the jazz concept band lead by WAYJO maestro Alana McPherson, plus the Cuban magic of Cube De Son for some traditional Cuban salsa on your Sunday. DJ Claude Mono from El Ritmo will keep the wonderful vibes flowing with his eclectic musical excursions.

Perth favourite troubadour The Justin Walshe Folk Machine will take you on a story telling journey on Sunday February 18 with his wonderful take on the world, joining him will be Racoo Charles and The Moke Folk with their distinctively Fremantle take on folk/country music. Rockin’ The Roots’ Tamara Szep will continue your musical journey as DJ.

Harbour Sundays closes its 2018 season on Sunday February 25 with a hell of party. Grace Barbe and Jamie Searle’s other project, Crucial Rockers will have you swaying on the balcony with a sublime selection of reggae tinged tunes, and Boom Bap Pow will close things out with their neo soul magic. Lead by Novak Bull, Boom Bap Pow belt out tune after tune of hip shaking goodness. SoulsidesDJ Foxman will continue the party with his selection of 45 classics.

Harbour Sundays is the perfect way to spend a summer by the Indian Ocean, with stunning ocean views at an iconic Fremantle landmark and some of the city’s finest local musicians.

Neon Picnic 2018

RTRFM’s NEON PICNIC RETURNS WITH A DAY LONG, FAMILY FRIENDLY OUTSIDE BROADCAST IN THE LUSCIOUS SURROUNDS OF HYDE PARK

Neon Picnic, the pre-cursor to RTRFM’s much loved In The Pines music festival made its triumphant return to the RTRFM event calendar last year, as the station celebrated 40 years of broadcasting.

Now in RTRFM’s 41st year, Neon Picnic returns as we bring the radio to you live on Saturday March 17th in the amazing surrounds of the Hyde Park Amplitheatre, 11am – 7pm.

Spend the day with the us and our line up of Saturday shows; Global Rhythm Pot, Homegrown, Drastic on Plastic and Jamdown Vershun, plus special musical guests. Join the RTRFM presenters as they play you their favourite tunes live and direct.

Come and bask in the musical majesty at this all-day event, as we chill out on the grass of Perth’s most beloved park. Bring the kids for a play on a bouncey castle, keep them busy at our arts and craft centre, and hula hooping workshops for the kids and adults from hooping magician Young Hoops.

Plus, the Mums and Dads can relax in our licensed bar thanks to Feral Brewing Company, The Hills Cider Company and Undertow Wines or grab a bite and coffee from Meat Candy, Pockets Falafel and Double Shotz.

Entry is free and you are welcome to come and go as you like. Pull up a slice of grass, bring a picnic and enjoy local music and Perth’s best radio station live.

Catch amazing live sets from Hot Paprika, the finest purveyors of Hungarian gypsy music, blissed out pop sounds of new comers Almond Soy and the straight up rhythms of Intercontinental Sounds.

Stay with us into the afternoon with pop-folk pioneer Helen Shanahan, the legendary and awe-inspiring Felicity Groom, and the straight fire dub of The U-Nites.

‘Neon Picnic’ is a free, family-friendly event, with activities for children all day long, and a licensed bar will be on site.
