Loosened from a cage, classroom or a family dinner, their long awaited debut EP Good Deed seems like a growl of relief. Pat Chow make us hungry and shiverous, filling us with a beneficial self semi-narcissistic pride and admiration of ourselves and their initiators. The sound is a fuzzed out collection of garage rock and 90s inspired grunge.
The authenticity and quality of recording is due to The Love Junkies’ maestro Mitch McDonald. However loud and fuzzy the ambiance becomes, something refreshing and friendly is always contained in their melodies. Chow constantly reassure that it is not because they had to “suffer alone in silence”, that their audience would.
