Q & A
How did you become involved with the station and your program?
Both Pete Carroll and Dan Stinton had suggested I do Homegrown at different points, which never eventuated, but I did the RTRFM training course in case and one morning in the wee hours after a late night out with Aarom (who was presenting Morning Magazine at the time) we were spinning some records at his place and decided it’d be fun to present a show together. Drivetime was our pick because the nature of the show allowed great diversity in the music we could program. We approached Dan about it and the rest is, well, history.
How long have you been with RTRFM?
Since the beginning of 2005.
What do you enjoy most about presenting?
The opportunity to share the music I spend hours and hours and hours every week researching, listening to, and reviewing.
Strangest experience at RTRFM?
We gave colour away
Favourite RTRFM program/s?
I think Cutter does a great show, and Sarah Tout plays some great tunes too. Pocket Disco‘s always a winner… and who could go past Breakfast with Barr and Paddy Pittman on Morning Mag. Special mention to the Drivetime brothas and sistas who all do a great job tackling multi-genre diversity every week…
What do you do in real life?
Too many things⦠The most relevant being work in music and event PR, and music journalism.

Best of the Capitol Years

Beach Fossils
