Q & A

How did you become involved with the station and your program?

I was invited as a guest presenter on Full Frequency by Stephen Mallinder and I think it was the second or third time as a guest that he handed the show over to me.

How long have you been with RTRFM?

Since the 30th of January, 2004.

What do you enjoy most about presenting?

For me the best thing about presenting Full Frequency is getting the opportunity to share music I’m passionate about to such a diverse listenership. I live and breathe electronic music 24/7. My two hour slot each week is where I get to unleash a snapshot of this with a heap of new tracks, a few classics and any music that reflects how I’m feeling that afternoon.

Strangest experience at RTRFM?

My strangest RTR experience would have to be when I tuned into one of the late night programs and heard the presenter expressing a few questionable ‘opinions’ on pretty much everything and getting quite angry about it too! It made for interesting on air banter and everyone has a bad day but I decided to give the presenter a call just to make sure that it wasn’t going to get out of hand.

Favourite RTRFM program/s?

Full Frequency, Trainwreck, All City, Global Rhythm Pot and Morning Mag are a few of my favourites.

What do you do in real life?

I’m half way through an undergraduate degree at Murdoch, majoring in radio broadcasting and politics & international studies. I write a monthly column (Massiv) for The Drum Media, I occasionally put on techno parties and DJ at interesting electronic music events and RTR fundraisers.
