Ana Rita Sequeira
Presenting: Lusophone Beats
Born in Lisbon, Portugal. When I was very young I wanted to discover other continents and change the world. After living in Europe, Africa and Asia, Perth was the very last destination and I’m here to stay. Love books, coffee and vegan food.
How did you become involved in the station?
When Hugo first started to talk about it I thought “if I have to stay with little B when you are away, that might be my involvement… but what if I also give it a go?” I promise that if he starts to think about bugging jumping I will say “No way, go alone!”.
If stuck on Mars, what five albums could you not go without?
That’s a difficult one, but do they have a CD player there? And speakers? And power? I thought it was just about water, ice and deserts. In that case:
- Ladysmith Black Mambazo – Spirit of South Africa
- Into the Wild Soundtrack
- Rodrigo Leão – Mãe
- Rita Redshoes – Choose Love
- The Gift – RGB
What is the best thing about being involved in the station?
Sharing music with fantastic and inspiring people like the RTRFM family and RTRFM listeners.
What is the strangest thing that has happened to you at RTRFM?
I am not nervous… my hands are just shaking because the aircon is freezing.
If you could present a show other than your own, which would it be and why?
Drastic on Plastic. “What a woman must do!” – Ursula Rucker.
What do you do in real life?
