I’m a selector and promoter living in Perth. I’m one of the founders of the Methods of Movement crew and can be found at most places that are playing good music.
How did you become involved in the station?
I was first invited in as a guest on Trainwreck back in 2013 after hosting a few shows around Perth with the Untitled Sound Alliance. After that I knew I wanted to be more involved with RTR so I did the training and got involved!
If stuck on Mars, what five albums could you not go without?
Tough question, most of the dance music I listen to is released on EP’s and this list would change every few months… but right now I’d say:
- DJ Shadow – Endtroducing…
- Boards of Canada – Music Has The Right To Children
- Raekwon – Only Built 4 Cuban Linx…
- Handsome Boy Modeling School – So… How’s Your Girl?
- Ben UFO – Untitled (The Trilogy Tapes)
What is the best thing about being involved in the station?
I love the DJ centric attitude of the station – they trust their presenters to bring good music to the table and it allows the station to have an incredibly diverse amount of different music while also allowing each presenter to do their own thing. It’s great to feel connected to not only the station but actually enjoy listening to particular presenters when they’re on their respective shows.
What is the strangest thing that has happened to you at RTRFM?
I’m new here, no strange happenings yet.
If you could present a show other than your own, which would it be and why?
Full Frequency! Fantastic show with great presenters, definitely the best outlet on Perth radio to play electronically driven music, another passion of mine.
What do you do in real life?
Union organizer/faceless man.
