I’ve been presenting on RTRFM for over 10 years doing shows such as Drastic on Plastic, Soulsides, Snooze Button, Black & Blue, and All City. I love soul/funk/disco/rare groove/hip hop/house music, and this is generally what I play on radio as well as when I DJ out at bars, clubs and at weddings.
How did you become involved?
I started out presenting the Snooze Button program with my friend Hugo way back when the station was on the UWA campus. Then Rok Riley said I should do Drastic on Plastic and I ended up following the station to its current home and presenting a few other shows too.
If stuck on Mars, what five albums could you not go without?
Tough question! These ones come to mind:
Massive Attack – Blue Lines
Grace Jones – Living My Life
The Herbaliser – Very Mercenary
ESG – A South Bronx Story
Air – Moon Safari.
What is the best thing about being involved with the station?
The best things about being involved with RTRFM are being able to share the music I love with listeners and being involved in such an important community organisation – not to mention the awesome bunch of people who work at and present shows on RTR.
What do you do in real life?
DJ, bar tender etc
