Encompassing progressive directions in jazz music, Giant Steps looks to the innovators, experimenters and boundary-pushers to delivery sounds that truly belong to the twenty-first century. Giant Steps takes in music from around the world, incorporating afro and latin fusion, and jazz that incorporates new technologies, new compositional styles,
and new ways of thinking about and approaching instrumentation. From stripped down duos and trios to big bands and orchestras, Giant Steps hooks into improvisation, tightly-wound and technical compositions, and virtuosic playing to deliver a myriad of sounds for those with a taste for jazz of a progressive approach.
