A Conversation with Dr Cornel West

He is one of the most influential voices of a generation.

Dr Cornel West is an academic, activist, author and public intellectual and was the first African American person to graduate with a PhD in philosophy Princeton University in the United States.

He is a towering intellectual figure as well as a pop culture icon, visiting Australia to share his ideas on social justice, politics and music.

Before his Perth show, he sat down for a conversation with RTRFM Black and Blue presenter, Osric Powell.

They covered a range of topics including the experiences of Indigenous Australians, music, materialism and much more.
