Anthony Fisk

Wednesday 17th May / presented by Taylah Strano Harriet Kenny

Although most LGBTI people live healthy, happy lives, a disproportionate number will struggle with mental health issues - including an increased risk of suicide.

While the conversation around mental health and self harm has begun to change, for many people it still remains an uncomfortable or taboo topic.

Anthony Fisk’s friend recently took his own life. Prompting Anthony and those affected to create the Gay Perth Suicide Awareness Group.

The group provides referral and services for gay men seeking help, and they have organised a fundraiser for Lifeline WA.

Anthony joined ATQ  to talk about the group’s work.
