ART: Out of Sight, Out of Mind

Thursday 28th November / presented by James Hall

What happens when art goes unnoticed..?

The Art Gallery of WA has cut short a series of exhibitions that bought world-renowned modern art to Perth.

Half way through the three year series, the current exhibition ‘Van Gogh, Dali and Beyond: The World Re-imagined’ will be the last in the Museum of Modern Art exhibition.

There seems to be two main reasons, both of which are vulgar to the art enthusiast’s sensibilities – lack of revenue from ticket sales and increased insurance costs.

Photographer and Academic Dr Juha Tolonen was with me to discuss art, and what happens when no one looks at it…
