The new National Cultural Policy was announced on Wednesday 13th March. It’s the first Federal Government arts & culture policy to be introduced in nearly 20 years – it was always going to be received with mixed reviews. On the surface it means an injection of $235 million into the sector but some industry members are unsure of the effectiveness of the policy below the surface.
Community Arts Network WA‘s Managing Director, Pilar Kasat, was on the Policy Steering Committee and spoke to Andy Snelling to provide some clarity on the situation.
