Arts & Health WA Event

Monday 30th June / presented by Ed Williams

Can arts really improve your health?

Many believe so and Arts and Health Australia has found clear evidence that the arts play a critical role in providing patient and family-centred holistic health care.

St John of God Health Care and The Chamber of Arts and Culture have teamed up to present an Arts and Health WA Event, “Undiscovered Opportunities: Arts in the healing environment”.

The purpose is to present the benefits of integrating health and arts into the health services in WA, and to discuss the future opportunities of arts in healthcare.

One of the keynote speakers of the event, the Australian Institute for Patient and Family-Centred Care Director and Chair of the Hush Music Foundation, Dr Catherine Cook came into the studio along with the “Undiscovered Opportunities” event organiser, Deborah Pearson, to talk more about the combination of arts and health.
