Before The Siren

Thursday 16th February / presented by James Hall

The opening rounds of the AFL Women’s League have been a resounding success, and an upcoming Perth International Arts Festival show aims to celebrate this step forward.

Before The Siren explores the history of women in sport and brings together the most exciting aspects of football into a theatrical performance.

They promise banners, mascots, a cheer squad, sausage sizzle and activities for the kids.

It all goes down from 6pm at Fremantle on Sunday, and two of the performers – Lara Thoms & Ellie Frith – joined James Hall on The Mag to shed light on the spectacle.
