Disrupting with Carmen Lawrence

Monday 7th September / presented by Rhian Todhunter

The second annual Disrupted Festival of Ideas has kicked off at the State Library of Western Australia.

Running over consecutive Sundays, the festival includes a diverse range of speakers focussing on the subject Land and People, and drawing on ideas from the Griffith Review 47: Looking West.

Former WA Premier and Federal Minister for Health and Human Services, Professor Carmen Lawrence, headlines on Sunday with a discussion about land use in WA; namely, who has the right to profit and who bears the cost.

Professor Lawrence’s experiences as a politician, and more recently as Professional Fellow at UWA researching the forces driving significant social change, have provided her with a wealth of knowledge and a unique voice when it comes to matters concerning WA’s present and future.

Professor Lawrence joined RTRFM’s Rhian Todhunter on Artbeat.
