Fremantle Council Cancels Australia Day Festivities

As the university year winds down for students across the state, we shine the spotlight on the work of students attending University at Notre Dame in Fremantle. Media and communicaitons student Fiona Dempsey visited Fremantle's City Council to find out their revised plans for Australia Day 2018 ... she also spoke to some of the young people to see how they are showing their support.

This investigation comes after the Fremantle Council chose to opt themselves out of the traditional Australia Day Celebrations; this has also seen other councils of Perth following Fremantle's decision to cancel the fireworks and other celebrations usually hosted by the council of Fremantle each year. So what is the council could possibly be planning for the day in 2018?
