Fringe World Moves Like Monroe

Tuesday 24th February / presented by Caitlin Nienaber

The tassels are back in their boxes, the Spiegeltents dismantled and the interesting characters are no longer pounding the pavements of our streets… for now.

Fringe World came to an end over the weekend ending another 31 days of of experiments in entertainment.

To cap it off the Fringe World Awards were held on Sunday night.

The top prize of the night is the Martin Sims award for the best new West Australian work in the Festival.

The winner of that award was Perth Theatre maker Tim Watts for his immersive production Monroe and Associates.

“It’s a great place to make shows,” Watts said about our fair city and told of his plans for the future. They involve a caravan.

Caitlin spoke to Tim on Breakfast about the win and his plans for the show in the future.
