Funny Old Business

Tuesday 10th March / presented by Kylie Sturgess

When it comes to comedy it’s often hard to draw the line between what’s funny and just plain offensive.

Some say there’s always room for rude jokes,  and attest that profanity is humorous. Other think not, and warn that one person’s joke is another person’s sexist circle-jerk.

But how far is too far?

Well, this year’s Raw Comedy Competition has seen at least one comedian win his heat by being what some other comedians are calling sexist and wrong.

They’re local comedy stalwarts Andrea Gibbs and Werzel Montague and they joined Kylie Sturgess to discuss the ever-changing nature of the funny old business of comedy.
