Habeeb Mental Health Facility project: one of the only mental health facilities in Somalia.

Friday 8th June / presented by James Hall

Mental health is something that isn’t openly talked about and it’s highly stigmatised, especially in many African communities. The statistics on people battling various and serious mental health illnesses are high and Somalia is no different. Currently, there are scarce facilities that specialise in assisting people with mental health illnesses. Dr. Habeeb is making a difference, as he is currently seeing over 330 patients each week that are in dire need of support.

Spyc Bashment is collaborating with Soul Alphabet to create a night of dancing curated by Perth’s best artists! All funds raised from ticket sales will go towards the ‘Habeeb Mental Health Facility’. The event is on June 30th at Clancy’s Fish Pub in Fremantle.
