Home Is Where My Heart Is

Friday 9th August / presented by Graeme Watson

For most, our home is our sanctuary.

It’s the place we come home to at night to feel comfortable and safe.

However, for more than six thousand young West Australians, ‘home’ is not a two story red brick house and a white picket fence.

Instead, ‘home’ is an emotion that is heated and curved to fit inside the contours of the heart.

To capture this feeling, eight young West Australians who have experienced homelessness are showcasing their interpretation of ‘home’ through the photographic exhibition ‘Home is Where My Heart Is’.

The event is an opportunity for young people to celebrate their achievements and offer insight into the life of a young homeless person living in W.A.

Youth Affairs Council of WA CEO Craig Comrie is with Graeme with more.
