LGBT Rights

Monday 1st July / presented by Rewi Lyall

In one extraordinary day, significant legislation was approved that will improve the lives of many people around the country.

It was the same day we returned Kevin Rudd as our Prime Minister, so it got lost in the melee.

It’s legislation that removes prejudice from peoples lives.

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex people.

The Sex Discrimination Amendment Bill passed through the house of representatives, providing legislation to protect all who identify with being LGBT or I from discrimination due to the status.

Victorian Gay & Lesbian Rights Lobby Convener Anna Brown and TBC joined Rewi Lyall to discuss the topic.
