Marine Biologist Jason Fowler

Thursday 18th January / presented by Jane Hebiton

Marine Biologist Jason Fowler, loves the Kimberly coastline and is frequently volunteering his time, knowledge and yacht, Shaguar, to take scientists out to study the local marine flora and fauna.  And then came Hilda.  Just after Christmas, Cyclone Hilda formed quickly off Broome and behaved unexpectedly.  Man and boat vs The Cyclone didn’t pan out quite as well as he had hoped.  Jason tells us about his experience battling the elements for six hours in a, previously unleaky, boat.

To help get Shaguar ship-shape again see the crowd funding page at www.mycause.com.au/page/168218/i-survived-cyclone-hilda-now-i-need-your-help
