Mick Harvey & The Hope Six Demolition Project

Friday 22nd April / presented by Caitlin Nienaber

This week PJ Harvey’s taken us on a trip to Kosovo, Afghanistan, Washington DC and back to the UK.

We’re featuring the much-loved, Mercury Prize-winning artist’s ninth album The Hope Six Demolition Project..

It’s been years in the making – Harvey wrote the lyrics from travels with war photographer Seamus Murphy.

She then took them back to London where she set up a makeshift studio in a gallery space where the public could watch the recording process.

Long-time collaborator, former Bad Seed and solo musician Mick Harvey was part of that process and Caitlin caught up with him recently to talk about the album.

Cailtin asked him about recording in front of an audience.
