Ready movie lovers?! Every week we send our brave squad into the dark and unknown depths of the film world to give us their reviews and appraisals.
To get the ball rolling, Simon Miraudo discusses “Get Out”; the satirical horror-thriller, directed by one half of comedy duo Jordan Peele (Key & Peele). The film gives it’s audience an insight into the racial struggles through Chris (Daniel Kaluuya); a black man that endures a very strange weekend while staying at his white girlfriend’s parents’ house.
Following Simon’s review is Tristan Fidler to discuss the “The Zookeeper’s Wife” – a movie set in Poland circa 1939 about a zookepeer and his wife (spoiler alert) who run their Zoo amidst the Nazi Invasion.
Movie Squad also promotes the premiere screening of “First Girl I Loved” next Tuesday the 9th of May at 7PM at Events Cinema Innaloo. Funds from the ticket sales go towards the LGBTIQ Youth Support organisation “Freedom Centre”.
