New Monitoring Software Makes Parents The New Big Brother

Thursday 18th January / presented by Chris Mason

Keeping track of your kids can be an increasingly difficult task for parents, especially in the midst of the school holidays. However in this age of technology mum and dad can now access the proper tools in order for them to properly monitor their offspring’s movements through the likes of smart-phone devices and software.

Some parents have welcomed the new big-brother-like software; But there are also some presented concerns that the technology is potentially leading towards a case of over-monitoring by parents, which could result in ultimately damaging the relationships between children and their parents.
Here to discuss the safety issues and concerns regarding this issue further is Child Psychology Expert from Edith Cowan University, Dr. Mandy Shean
