Peter Klinken Appointed New Chief Scientist of WA

The internationally renowned Professor Peter Klinken, has been named as the new Chief Scientist of WA.

Klinken, who is one of Australia’s leading medical researchers, has been highly regarded for his advancement of the understanding of genes in leukaemia, cancer, and anaemia.

Among his many research achievements, Klinken discovered a gene that suppresses the growth of tumors.

Under his new role as the Chief Scientist, Klinken will be providing contemporary expert on science to the state government.
