Saxophone Warfare

Saxophonist Colin Stetson has been making music since the late 1990s, first in his home-town of Ann Arbor, Michigan and subsequently in San Francisco, New York and his new home Montreal. He has played with the likes of Tom Waits, Arcade Fire, David Byrne, Laurie Anderson, Godspeed You Black Emperor and LCD Soundsystem, just to name a few. His triptych of albums under the New History Warfare series have garnered him considerable critical acclaim for his distinctive and idiosynchratic playing style. Colin is also headed to our shores, and in anticipation RTRFM’s Adam Trainer caught up with Colin from his holiday in Hawaii to chat about music, collaboration and gargling spit…
