Sonya Voumard is Back in the Game with new book

Sonya Voumard’s new book - Skin in the Game - allows an insight into the world of journalism in which she delves into both the pleasure and the pain that comes along with the telling of true stories.

By recounting her passionate (albeit questioning) relationship with journalism and the nature of the interview, Sonya gives us a look into the world of journalism by holding up a mirror to her own life as a worker and the ethics around a medium like journalism, as well as examining the use of power and the intertwined nature of life, work and personal relationships.

Skin in the Game follows Sonya’s career - from her first encounter with newspapers, to a encounter with Helen Garner, with whom she had a disastrous interview with three decades earlier - and she joined us on The Mag to tell us more...
