Spoiling the Story

Wednesday 9th October / presented by Peter Barr

Many years ago TV shows flickered on our screens and we all calmly watched events unfold.

Sometimes it was quite exciting – a bomb exploded in an apartment block, loads of people were massacred at a wedding in a made-up country, the epitome of evil was shot, one particular surprising and shock twist ending turned a good guy very bad…

We talked about these things but it took ages to do so and we didn’t seem to crave answers so quickly.

Not so now, as we break records in illegal downloading and we blab about some seriously significant stuff online seconds after it’s happened.

Self-confessed TV Freak Scott Goodings says the shows we love could suffer because of our impatient actions, and is with me on Breakfast…

(are we the one who knocks?)
