Talking Rubbish with Marcus Geisler of the Waste Authority

Monday 30th October / presented by Jane Hebiton

Over the past few weeks the Environment Minister Stephen Dawson, has been calling for Western Australians to help out with the government’s new waste strategy.

This new waste strategy has three key areas that it will focus on, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, avoiding the generation of waste, and increasing recycling.

By tackling these objectives, the government hopes it will bring WA's waste problem under control.

With the new plan being open for the public to comment on and give their thoughts, what do these new objectives mean for the community and how can they help.

Here to tell us more is Marcus Geisler , the Chairman of Waste Authority.
