Tom Malone Prize

Friday 1st March / presented by Rhian Todhunter

Most of the time we look through glass – this morning we look at it.

We may have to squint a little, but it’s worth it as we’re going to see some remarkable things.

The Art Gallery of WA’s Tom Malone Prize celebrates the art of glass - including vessels, wall pieces and small and large-scale sculpture.

Such a delicate substance and yet so strong and incredibly adaptable, the glass on display by the artists who love it takes on many forms.

This year’s winner is TOM MOORE…

AGWA Curator ROBERT COOK has a keen eye for all sorts of artistic endeavour and is also with us…

And one of the people charged with the responsibility of determining the winner has won the Tom Malone himself – NICK MOUNT is also here…
