Understorey: Glyphosate Resistant

Wednesday 3rd June / presented by Elizabeth PO’ Adrian Glamorgan

Monsanto has been in the news of late, with the World Health Organisation declaring that the weedkiller glyphosate is probably carcinogenic, and now Sri Lanka’s newly elected president has announced that glyphosate will no longer be allowed in that country.  But there are no such signs of action in Australia.

Instead, the Understorey team Adrian Glamorgan and Elizabeth PO’ bring us an update on Western Australian involvement in a national working group that aims to prolong the use of pesticides on farms and by local councils, and also how glyphosate and GM crops work together as a full package.   So let’s join the protests at Cottesloe, with RTR FM 92.1’s very own Understorey
