Understorey: Sustainability and the Federal Government

This week on Understorey : Alisha Ryans-Taylor on Sustainability course at Challenger Institute, as well as Giz Watson about threatened species legislation and the dire impact of the federal government giving environmental decision making to the states.

With no threatened species legislation in Western Australia, Understorey interviews Greens Giz Watson MLC about her private member’s bill in WA parliament.and the implications of the federal government givi ng up its powers to the states.

In a world challenged by climate changing by two to four degrees by 2100, training in sustainability is going to be essential. Understorey asks lecturer Alisha Ryans-Taylor, and some of her students, about the Challenger Institute sustainability diploma.
