WA Women’s Hall Of Fame Inductee

Monday 10th March / presented by Ed Williams

All last week we met some remarkable women who have all contributed powerfully and passionately to society in so many ways.

It all led to International Women’s Day.

And part of that saw ten local women inducted into the WA Women’s Hall of Fame, including Kylie Forth, former winner of the Blind Sailing Worl Championships.

Sailing is part of the Paralympics however there is no blind category.   Whilst Kylie (and others) were hoping it would be included in 2016, it has been decided that they will include ‘new’ sports, rather than expanding categories within existing sports.  This of course means Kylie is hoping for 2020 games.

Her deep passion is to have an Australian Blind Sailing Association as a governing body, for which none currently exists.

Kylie had a chat with Ed Williams about being inducted into the Hall of Fame.
