WASO Debut for Young Composer

The award winning Western Australian composer Lachlan Skipworth is set to debut with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra.

The rising star will premier his new work that draws inspiration from Perth’s unique wind patterns, including the Freo Doctor.

It’s called Spiritus and will premiere alongside world renowned Russian pianist Daniil Trifinov and conductor Daniel Blendulf, as part of the concert Trifinov Plays Tchaikovsky.

Lachlan Skipworth spoke to Em Burrows.
