Bindaring Red Cross Clothing Sale
Saturday 17th May 2014
Time: Doors open from 9.00am - Gold coin entry donation
The annual Bindaring Red Cross Clothing Sale is on again, where people looking for a bargain can buy clothing on a budget. The Bindaring Red Cross Unit has held this annual fundraising sale since 1963. Over the years the Unit, named after Bindaring Parade in Claremont, has raised an astonishing $1.3 million dollars for Red Cross. Every year, buyers hunt through the Ellie Eaton Pavilion in the op shop, wander into the Jim Wilkinson Pavilion for the boutique sale, or bid on quality designer pieces.
Funds go toward Red Cross disaster and emergency services and community programs including, soup patrol, SAM and FOODcents.
The Bindaring Clothing Sale will kick off at the Claremont Showgrounds from 9am on Saturday 17 May. The Op Shop in the Ellie Eaton pavilion doors open at 9am with queuing starting from 7am and the doors to Boutique (high end brands), in the Jim Wilkinson Pavilion, open at 10am.
