Describe Your Sound

The Junkadelic Brass Band is a band like no other; it combines a smoking hot 6-piece brass section with a hard-hitting recycled percussion section to bring you a face-melting blend of street rhythms. Taking inspiration from traditional New Orleans street music, Junkadelic combines tasty funk grooves with latin and hip-hop flavours to get you down on the D-floor. Soul vocals round out the band’s explosive original compositions to create brass band music with a bend in it.

Ken Allen

Junkadelic was founded in 2002 as a junk percussion group with a long history in community engagement, workshops and collaborations. In 2010, Junkadelic added a horn section and became the stage-based funk group the Junkadelic Brass Band.
