Rich King Matthews write songs that make you think, feel good and wanna dance. With a merge of folk, indie and pop, RKM want to make sure that no song sounds the same and that every chorus gets stuck in your head – leaving you with a smile every time.
The band formed after brothers Peter and Josh collaborated at their parents home in the hills. After roughly recording a song or two the boys were pushed to find more members to create that band sound. This is where ex members of 44th sunset Emily and Forrest where found. To thicken the bands sound bass guitarist Blake was inducted.
Band influences would be - The Kooks, Mumford & Sons, Noah and the Whale, Bon Iver
Burst and Bloom, Tashi, Jacob Wylde, Mountain Strangers, Val Verde, Villian, Matt Burke, Michael Day, Three Hands One Hoof, The Crossbars.

Recording Into the Wild
The band finds themselves taking a two month break over the x-mss period as front man Josh sets off on an adventure around the world. Over this time the other members of the band are working profusely towards creating a future for themselves. All members are still meeting weekly at rehearsal to practice, whilst also meeting fortnightly with manager Tyler for pre production on their up and coming EP. In amongst this backing vocalists Peter and Emily are keeping the fans happy by doing acoustic gigs whilst Blake also does his separate solo cover gigs.
