Loud music that makes you move. Tom Petty meets Foo Fighters meets U2 meets Pearl Jam meets Hoodoo Gurus.
Corey Ranger and Adam Quigley met ten years ago working at a Virgin CD store (back when they were a thing.) Later, Tom Filter and Corey later were part of a successful Foo Fighters tribute band called 'White Limo' that toured Perth playing epic 2.5hr sets. Following White Limo's breakup, Corey brought Tom and Adam together to bring some of his original new acoustic driven music to life. A year of rehearsals later, and with a full setlist something felt missing. Putting the call out to Perth musicians, they went in search of a second guitarist to fill out the epic rock sound they were envisioning for the tracks and provide the sound to elevate the tracks into something special. Clayton Brown, a lead guitarist from rock/blues bands such as Highway Breakdown & The Dirty Feels, was on the lookout for something something with a feel-good sound and enough catchiness to warrant his melodic guitar skills. Clayton, the first lead guitarist auditioned, immediately got the gig - the fit was perfect. He took the role on the proviso that the band was to begin gigging immediately. The Silent Deeds' first show, at a near-empty Monday Northbridge open mike, happened less than one month later. The band's been going from strength to strength since playing progressively bigger and better nights at progressively bigger and better venues.
Tom Petty & The Foo Fighters are both big influences. Other notable mentions go to Slash, The Goo Goo Dolls and The Beatles.
