THE ARTS AND CULTURE TRUST AND RTRFM PRESENT THE COURTYARD CLUB 2023: FREE, LIVE LOCAL MUSIC.
The Arts and Culture Trust and RTRFM are excited to announce the return of the Courtyard Club for your Friday night post-work fun; a free 7-week concert series taking place every Friday evening from 3 November to 15 December in the State Theatre Centre Courtyard.
RTRFM is pleased to be teaming up with The State Theatre Centre of WA and the Arts and Culture Trust for the ninth year to bring live, local music into the heart of Northbridge.
The Courtyard Club has become the perfect place to start your weekend with friends, as RTRFM DJ Vishnu brings you Friday Drivetime live with performances by local bands and DJs. This year, acts will play two sets over the course of a few hours, giving audiences a chance to hear more of their incredible music.
It all kicks off on Friday 3 November from 5pm as we team up with the Perth International Jazz Festival, featuring the Matt Smith Septet followed by DJ Dave Clark from RTRFM’s Giant Steps.
Throughout the series you can enjoy the pop magic of Timothy Nelson, the big band sounds of Sgt Hulka, the rootsy folk of Sash Seabourne, the alt-country of Angie Colman, the collective wonder of Sugar Wife and the soul magic of Odette Mercy and Her Soul Atomics.
Each live performance will be followed by sets from some of the best DJs in town, including Rhian Todhunter (Out To Lunch), Cat Paz (Global Rhythm Pot), Nafta (Full Frequency), Mark Neal (First Pressing), Pam Boland (Breakfast with Pam) and Doug Swampe and Alana Joy.
The Courtyard Club is an all-ages event with a licensed bar for those after work drinks.
Enjoy free live radio with Vishnu from RTRFM and local music under the stars in the beautiful surrounds of the State Theatre Centre Courtyard every Friday from 3 November ‘til 15 December.
