RTRFM KICKS OFF 2018 WITH THE FOURTH ANNUAL MULTI-STAGE LOCAL MUSIC FESTIVAL DISTANT MURMURS at THE ROSEMOUNT HOTEL, SATURDAY JANUARY 27th 2018.
RTRFM’s local music festival Distant Murmurs returns for it’s fourth year at The Rosemount Hotel for, with over 20 acts across three stages, boasting a line up of new and up-coming local bands, with one of the more diverse line ups of the year.
It all kicks off in the Rosemount Hotel Beer Garden from 7pm, with everyone’s favourite RTRFM volunteer The Whipcracker DJing alongside Will Slade, plus the futuristic beats and rhymes of Toyotomi, neo-soul wunder kids Demon Days, mind blowing production from Shy Time, pop magic from Your Girl Pho, driving beats and rhythms of Bonny Upwelling and the multi layered sounds of Human Buoy.
On the Rosemount main stage it’s a mixed bang of sounds with the beautifully haunting Wooly Mammoth, the brilliant sound writing of Carla Geneve, the Brit pop sounds of DIY Rainclouds, the intoxicating rawness of Hussy, the mind-blowing amazement of Benjamin Witt and the wondrous pop melodies of The Money War. The sound never stops in the main room with the no nonsense sounds of Apollo Zen, the in your face punk of Chick Spit, the madness and joy of Debbie Downers and the brilliance of Shit Narnia, playing at the back of the room.
Distant Murmurs is the best way to spend a summer Saturday afternoon, immersed in tunes from the present and future of Perth’s music landscape.
