RTRFM’s 45 Greatest WA Songs
Fri , 1 April 2022
2.00pm - 5.00pm
What to expect
On Friday 1 April, RTRFM officially turned 45 years old. To celebrate, Breakfast host Taylah Strano and Music Director Matt Perrett counted down the 45 Greatest WA Songs as voted by you.
A shortlist of 250 iconic songs were selected by RTRFM’s staff, presenters and industry experts, who made a point to select those that best represent “The Sound Alternative”, given RTRFM’s commitment over 45 years to provide a platform for under-the-radar and alternative local acts. Still, we were certain we missed a few, so listeners could also write-in an extra tune after voting for their ten favourites.
During the epic five-hour countdown, Taylah and Matt spoke to a number of included artists, as well as former Music Director Adam Trainer to discuss what was left off (but deserved a mention).
