Understorey: Rangelands of WA

Rangelands are our vast outback areas, used by mining companies and pastoral stations, which have too many struggling remnant ecosystems in dire need of help. People are far and few between, dwindling in number, regulatory oversight has all but disappeared, and on the ground troublesome feral invaders and global climate change threaten what is left. Opportunities for clever and simple solutions are being missed. David Mackenzie from Pew Charitable Trusts talks with Understorey's Elizabeth PO' about the challenges and opportunities across WA's under-appreciated 90% of land. How can we help? Is carbon farming an answer? (Pic: Ninghan Station, E.PO') Rangelands of WA
