Coming from a dance and hip-hop background, I was introduced to club culture through the Stones Throw artist Egyptian Lover, which is one of the first times I experienced the joy of a super positive dancefloor. The feeling stuck and grew, causing a gradual lane switch from hip-hop to the raves in all facets, including DJ’ing and production. I hope to eventually find a happy medium between the two musical worlds.
How did you become involved in the station?
Through premiering my first ever track on Riley’s FF show! Then went back a few times to do guest mixes / promote various things, then did a few other guest spots on other shows and now I’m here.
What is the best thing about being involved in the station?
Being able to provide a platform for those around me that I believe in.
If you could present a show other than your own, which would it be and why?
Of course Full Frequency, it’s super fun and you get a lot of great feedback from people listening in.
What do you do in real life?
Make and release dance music, DJ around town, run the odd party and study Fine Arts at Curtin. (Surely the most common answer to this questionnaire).
