Originally from Perth, I bounced around Sydney and New York City for uni and work. My first experience with community radio was at a station in the Blue Mountains in NSW. Highlights included hanging out with lovely community radio folk, hosting the Battle of the Bands, and getting snowed on when I went to collect the mail. Later, while in the depths of an NYC winter, I found out that loving snow is a rookie mistake and dear god please make the snow stop/temperature go above zero.
I love heading out to gigs, local music in general, 80s synthpop, travelling, and geeking out over The Simpsons.
I came back home to Perth after working in the USA, and I was keen to get on board at RTR! I filled in the volunteer form and went from there.
Rad people, new tunes, and getting hands-on with Perth culture.
I’m a freelance writer, sometimes an actor, and always a trivia nerd.
