Music has and always play a hugely important role in my life, my lounge room feels genuinely uncomfortable if there isn’t a track chugging along in the background. What I’m currently listening to can swing from thumping electro all the way through to the gentlest yacht rock. Sharing music is something I’ll always cherish, whether it’s in the club, in the studio or sitting in my backyard.
How did you become involved in the station?
After a gentle a shove from a friend I started volunteering at the station, helping out in the office assisting Will Backler in his role as Music Coordinator. After a few guest spots on air I got a taste for radio and dived headfirst into presenting!
What is the best thing about being involved in the station?
Walking into the station is liking walking into a second home. Someone will always be happy to have yarn, share something exciting with you or just make you feel special.
What is the strangest thing that has happened to you at RTRFM?
My stint doing overnight shows definitely got a little strange – conversations with callers (or yourself) get a little left-of-field but the company is always nice.
If you could present a show other than your own, which would it be and why?
Jam Down Vershun would be an absolute dream – whether or not I could fill the boots of General Justice, Mumma Tresss and Simba is debatable though.
What do you do in real life?
I love a bit of gardening (shouts out to Gordon), work as an arts manager and organise parties through Crab Claw.
