I am an animal rights activist and also get involved in human rights and environmental issues. I co-host a podcast that covers all of these issues. I also teach on social movements and social change in Sociology and Anthropology and have a PhD in Sociology, which explored the animal rights movement.
Beyond activism and uni, I like to play ice-hockey, travel and spend time with my girlfriend and my dog.
How did you become involved in the station?
I recorded some music and comedy from the event Occupy Art Lab, which involved artists who supported the Occupy movement. I played some of these recordings on the podcast I co-host with my partner – Progressive Podcast Australia. This included a song from Ray’s band Zeks – Ray is another Indymedia host. Ray heard the podcast and invited us to come down and get involved with Indymedia on RTR.
If stuck on Mars, what five albums could you not go without?
