A late night talk show that begins when midnight strikes.
Special guest/s will hang out live in studio, providing good chat and occasional performances between tunes. There’ll be a different host each week bringing their own experimental flourishes to the table, which includes pre-recorded audio of conversations, spoken word performances, fiction/non-fiction readings, stand-up comedy, and sound collages.
Forget sleep, stay up, listen in and take the Midnight Special.
On this week's Midnight Special, we have a stellar lineup of guests on the show: Neil Francis, Zal Kanga-Parabia, Jean-Michel Maujean and Campbell Whyte.
Ever wondered what space smells like? Did you know the centre of the galaxy is overhead in the sky this time of year? Neil has all these facts and more! He will also chat to us about his latest project creating multi-sensory experiences through sound.
What do stars sound like? Zal and Jean-Michel take us star gazing not with our eyes, but with our ears, and chat to us about how to turn images of stars into music.
And Campbell Whyte pops in to chat ahead of the Perth launch of his graphic novel Home Time. We chat all things comics, Sailor Moon, favourite kinds of tea and his trip to San Diego.
