Moritz Von Oswald and Mark Ernestus, masters of dub techno, are artists not normally associated with US deep house. However, this week’s throwback from them is definitely Chicago-inspired and was released on their own label, Main Street.
The offshoot of Basic Channel was created to feature a number of US-influenced 12″ singles releases named Round One to Round Five. This week’s selection is from the first in the series and was released in 1994 and became a worthy vocal anthem. For the trainspotters, the vocals are from Caravan of Love by The Isley Brothers. Hope you enjoy it!
